HORRIBLE!!! In my worst nightmare would I have imagined that in the historic centre of Telč, in a restaurant with a hotel located in such a beautiful old building, we would encounter such appalling behaviour from a waiter.
He was clearly trying to be interesting and humorous, but he was completely inappropriate, had no sense of professional etiquette, and was rude and insulting!!!
Not to mention that the restaurant menu welcomes guests with the following statement: “Choose only Czech cuisine, otherwise you will have to wait 40 minutes.” If you nevertheless wanted to order something else, he practically wouldn’t let you, because Czech dishes were supposedly served immediately. That was simply not true – we waited around 40 minutes even for the Czech food, and the poor quality of what we were eventually served was shocking. Absolutely terrible!!!Never again!!!!
The waiter was also extremely rude to foreigners and children!!!! If, for example, a 12-year-old child didn’t answer him within a second, he would mockingly repeat the question!!! Disgusting behaviour!
When the waiter was running around the restaurant, I already had serious doubts about his state of mind. I therefore want to WARN anyone considering visiting this restaurant: DO NOT even STEP inside U Černého orla.
